Nike Print Advert/RBK advert

Media analysis: ‘reading’ an image
Colour: Instantly we can see that the picture was
taken place in a rainy area which creates a sense of PATHETIC FALLACY, however the fact that the shoes and ball are bright and contrast to the background suggest that the main character in the image is trying to fulfil his dream or idealisations. Also the fact that the main character can not be seen suggest that he portrays all the emotion of many of us in society at the moment who are being put down by the upper-class dogs.

Framing:The lines at the top look like its coming from the model showing the skills the shoes are giving the model.the framing on the outside are urban as its from graffiti to indicate the target audience.to create a gritty urban feel about the advert as it is targeted to young males.

Composition: The model is on a football pitch with the font and weather shows that he is powerful with the shoes as he rules the court as he is the only one standing.the lines going up from his back in the background show he is special and he can do great things with the shoes.

Size:The model is slightly big for the advert as he is the main thing that will draw the audience.the court he is in also is enlarged as to see it that no one else is there.

Type of shot:The shot type is a medium shot.

Subject matter:the model doing the the freestyle kick ups to show the audience the new shoes and ball of nike.

Setting: The setting was in the outdoor where it was cold and cloudy in the a football cage.the model is doing kick ups there.same with the lighting not much lighting used to create that sort of cold feel about the picture so the shoes/product stands out.
